What Is Salt Therapy (Halotherapy)? What Does a Salt Room or Salt Sanctuary Do?


Halotherapy is a 100% natural therapy that involves relaxing for either a 30 minute or 60 minute session in our salt room.
 
  • Finely crushed salt acts as comfortable sand at your feet, grounding your body and helping to deepen your relaxation.
 
  • Most importantly, pharmaceutical-grade (safe, pure) salt is aerosolized using a halogenerator throughout the room in carefully titrated levels according to age and health condition of our clients.

When used regularly and consistently, Halotherapy benefits include helping to create clean, clear airways, which helps to detoxify the lungs and improve the lung's capacity for more efficient oxygen inhalation.   The salt also helps to increase carbon dioxide exhalation and increase endurance. Our Salt Therapy room is a very calming space which can provide a grounding and sensory experience for children with anxieties and extra sensory needs.  A children’s session allows you and your child to relax and play together in a comfortable and tranquil environment.  As a qualified primary school teacher who is trained in providing care for children with special needs, we will try to accommodate all of your child’s needs where possible.  Please feel free to contact us regarding any special assistance or support that you or your child may require.
